Honō does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
All app data — your followed series, watched episodes, ratings, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage (local device storage). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.
Honō fetches publicly available anime information from the following read-only APIs:
These requests are read-only. No personal data is sent to these services. Please review their own privacy policies for details on how they handle API requests.
Honō offers an optional premium subscription managed entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat. Any billing, payment, and subscription data is handled exclusively by those platforms and is subject to their respective privacy policies. Honō does not receive or store your payment information.
If you grant notification permissions, Honō schedules local notifications on your device to remind you when followed series air. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device — no data is transmitted to external servers to produce them.
Honō does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected by the app, there is no special handling required.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
